Materials

All materials take from our planet, but some are more sustainable than others. We are committed to creating from the most sustainable fibres we can source whilst staying true to the premium quality, buttery-soft fabrics our customers have come to expect and love.
All of our garments are handmade in small quantities of washed organic linen and 100% raw organic cotton fabrics, specially woven for us by our local manufacturers. The process of making these items takes lots of time and effort, every garment is double washed once it is made. Only after such a process, we reach this pleasant extra softness of our dresses.

COLOR

Each Garment is dyed by hand with fiber reactive dyes or natural plant dyes. They differ from dyebath to dyebath however, so while you can be assured that the color is similar, the shades may range from dark to light. Dyeing is an art and the colors do vary from one dyebath to the next making it evermore unique. This is the nature of dyeing things by hand on organic fabrics.

The same fabric can take the dye differently due to seasonal changes that are more prominent in non GMO organic fiber crops and plant based natural dyes.

Also keep in mind that the colors of the actual garment may be different than how they look in the photos depending on your computer's resolutions, I do my absolute best to match everyone's color requests!

Care instructions

We are washing all the fabrics twice during the production process, so that our customers will get pieces that will not change after home wash.
Wash natural fabrics by hand or in a washing machine on a cold gentle cycle.
Please keep in mind that hot water makes natural fabrics shrink a bit.

At Kayame, we work with a slow fashion, made-with-intention approach. For this reason, we don’t keep large quantities of ready-made stock.

Most pieces are created especially for you after your order is placed.
Please allow up to 1 week from the time of purchase for us to cut, sew, and hand-dye your garment before shipping.

Some items may already be finished and can ship sooner within 3 business days.

Every Kayame piece is:

We choose this method to avoid fabric waste, unnecessary storage, and overproduction. Each garment is unique, eco-sustainable, and made with care for people and planet.

Please allow 5-7 working days for the parcel to be delivered.

Shipping can be upgraded to EXPRESS method at an additional charge. Shipping time will be around 4 days. Please specify in ‘Message to Seller’ box at checkout.
We are not responsible for any additional customs/duties/taxes implemented by your country's import laws.

We will use the address given to us at time of purchase so double check it is correct before ordering! Changing your address after purchase often causes confusion and mistakes within the system.

Please, don’t forget your item(s) may be held for additional customs/duty/VAT specific to your country. These fees are separate from your purchase with us and we have no connection to or control over them. They are different for each country. This may also add additional days to your shipping time and we have no way to speed up your countries customs procedures. We don’t attach any receipts or invoices to the package. ORDER CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

We aim to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Once an order has been shipped, we are unable to modify or cancel it. If you need to make changes or cancel an order, please contact us immediately at support@kayame.shop

LOST PACKAGE:

Kayame has no control over your package once it is in the hands of the post office. This is especially true for International shipping, once your item reaches your Country it is in the total control of your countries Postal Service. We can not issue refunds for undelivered or lost packages, but we will try to help where we can. You will need to contact your local post office or your countries Postal Service if they make a mistake with your delivery.

CONDITION OF RETURN

To initiate a return, please contact us through our website or mail: support@kayame.shop We will respond within 48 hours with return instructions. We do accept approved exchanges! Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Be sure that your garments are UNWASHED and UNWORN upon sending them back to our studio.

The customer must cover the shipping cost of the returned or exchanged items; unless the wrong item was sent to you by our mistake.

Original shipping charges as well as the shipping charges incurred by you to mail the garments back to us are non-refundable.

If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

We refund the full amount of money including shipping costs in case of a quality-related defect or mistakes from our side.

If the return is not due to our mistake: you don't like the product, color, material, the size is wrong or you did not receive the delivery at the post office and it was shipped back, the cost of original shipping charges as well as return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds will be made through your original payment method. Please allow up to 15 business days for your return to be processed once we receive the package and examine if it meets the criteria of our return policy. Your refund will be credited back in US Dollars at the current exchange rate.
