About import duties: these are set by your own country and collected by the carrier — in the US, DHL collects the tariff before delivery and will text or call you to pay. It is a government charge, not an extra shipping fee — your shipping is already paid in full.

Est. 2019 · Bali, Indonesia
Hi, I'm Kaya. After years of travelling — from hectic cities to remote villages — I couldn't find clothes that were organic, natural and comfortable, yet still feminine and romantic. Clothes you can wear in the forest or the mountains, but also to a restaurant, a party, or the most important event of your life.
That was the moment Kayame was born. Everything still happens by hand and in small batches — the cutting, the sewing, the dyeing.

Tejakula village, North Bali
Our dyes are made from local Indonesian botanicals — indigo, mango leaves, seeds, wood and bark — collected from smallholder farmers in the village of Tejakula. Leaves and bark are harvested several times over; no tree is cut down.
The leaf waste becomes compost, and the water is filtered by enceng gondok plants before it returns to the river. Because the colour comes from plants, no two pieces ever leave the studio in exactly the same shade.

We ship worldwide with DHL and FedEx. In-stock pieces are dispatched within 3 business days and arrive 5–7 business days later — about 1–2 weeks in total to the US, the EU and most other countries. Made-to-order pieces need 7–10 business days more, so roughly 2–3 weeks in total.
It depends where you are. Import duties, VAT and customs fees are set by your own country, are not included in your order total, and are the buyer's responsibility. In the United States, DHL collects the import tariff before delivery and will contact you with payment instructions. In the EU and all other countries, the carrier collects any VAT or duties according to that country's regulations. Either way it is a government charge, not a shipping fee.
Contact us within 14 days of delivery. Our wrap dresses adjust across two sizes, and most other styles have an elastic back.
