Hi, my name is Kaya, and I welcome you to our boho boutique!

There's a long story behind this beautiful family brand, based in Bali, Indonesia.

Traveling around the world for many years — finding myself in the center of hectic city life, then living in remote rural places — seeing so much beauty in nature and simple village life, I realized how difficult it is to find clothes that are organic, natural, and comfortable, yet feminine, romantic, and made with a sense of fashion. Clothes you can wear in the forest or the mountains, but also to a restaurant, a party, or the most important event of your life.

That was the moment the idea of Kayame was born…

Kayame's main aim is to take positive environmental action, protect nature and planet Earth, and offer the best eco-conscious boho clothing to our customers.

All my designs are inspired by nature, boho culture, and Victorian times.

I am dedicated to using the most eco-friendly products and fabrics I can find. I employ local labor whenever possible and consider my company's footprint at every turn. I personally choose every piece of material by touching and feeling it, so it is comfortable on your skin and makes you happy to wear.

All materials are taken from our planet, but some are more sustainable than others. We are committed to creating from the most sustainable fibres we can source while staying true to the premium-quality, buttery-soft fabrics our customers have come to expect and love.

Handmade in Bali, made for you

Every Kayame piece is handmade in our small Bali studio by local artisans. Our colors come from leaves and plants — botanical eco-dye makes each piece truly one of a kind.

Step inside our studio and you'll find fabric in every stage of its life: organic cotton waiting for the scissors, dye baths steeping with leaves and plants, finished dresses getting their final touches. Everything here happens by hand and in small batches — the cutting, the sewing, the dyeing. The fringe on your dress was knotted by someone's hands, strand by strand. And because our colors come from nature, no two pieces ever leave the studio in exactly the same shade — your piece is one of one.

We know how difficult it can be to choose clothing online — so we design for real bodies, with a forgiving fit. Our wrap dresses adjust to fit up to two sizes, and most of our other dresses have an elastic back or soft, stretchy fabric that moves with you. And if you'd like a piece made exactly to your measurements, custom sizing is available as an option for an additional fee — just send us a message to request it.
